A course on reacting to big changes; dealing with the immediate issues and effective planning for making big changes. How to take volunteers and other stakeholders with you on the journey.
By the end of the course, participants should
- Be able to identify types of change and their implications
- Have developed an organisation-specific plan for dealing with big-crises immediately
- Understand the importance of effective communication
- Understand the issues around embedding big changes in the longer term
- Develop an action plan to apply within the organisation
The programme for this one day course is as follows:
10.00 Introductions, what do we want to get out of the day and domestic announcements
10.15 Session 1: Types of change
11.15 Session 2: Planning ahead; fire-fighting
12.45 Lunch & networking
13.30 Session 3: Communication – a stakeholder analysis
14.30 Session 4: Embedding change going forward
15.30 Next steps; action lists, summary and feedback
16.00 (approx) Close
